The boys decided instead of going Trick or Treating they wanted to go the University of Utah game. They had a blast! Blake took them up early and filled them up with hot dogs and treats. They got to go to the "blackout" game where everyone wears black. Here is a little clip of Christian enjoying the game.

NYC

Blake and I were able to go to NYC for a break! It was a lot of fun. NYC is a fast paced life, we walked a ton and saw a lot of different places. We went to Rockafeller Center, the garment district, Chinatown, we saw Wicked, two movies, the Titanic exhibit, The Temple and more. I must admit the NYC life is too fast paced for me. Walking down the street even seemed intense and loud. My favorite day was going to the Temple. It was a totally different experience than going to the temple here in Utah.

Soccer, Soccer, Football
On saturday Blake and I split up to cover the 3 games. Tommy's football game was a close one against Alta. They are still undefeated though, Tommy made some good sacks. Sammy played hard at her game and assited in some goals. Christian really put the speed on saturday! He was running so fast. He had a breakaway at one point and he almost scored! Saturdays are the best because we get to see all the kids having fun and doing what they love best!

Touchdown Oly Vs Copper Hills
This is a clip from the first game of Tommy's. He is #12, the first play on the clip is his play. He comes from the far side and gets the ball handed off to him and runs up the side close to the view. It was a great run!

Girls will be Girls...
Madi and Sammy are obsessed with getting thier nails painted and done. It was a great tradition started by Grandma Poultona and so I try to take them individually when I can. Recently Madi really wanted to get "nails". Here is a picture of her girly nails-could she be any happier?
5 Times The Fun...
Labor Day
Labor Day really meant "labor" for Christian. Grandpa Hodson had asked him to help him with a project Monday morning. Christian loves a good project. Sunday night he set his "work" clothes out, his shoes, socks and hat. He was ready to go. Early the next morning Grandpa picked him up and he helped him scrape paint off the fence. Christian was a hard worker!!
Later that day we went to pick him up and ended up staying for lunch. The kids even wrestled with Grandpa Hodson and I think they may have actually had a chance against him. Grandpa Hodson gave Tommy some pointers on football moves. It was a great day!!!

Boating For Tommy's 9th Birthday
For Tommy's 9th Birthday we had a family party and decided to go boating at Echo Lake. We got a late start but we stayed until the last light of the day. What a blast! The kids are addicted. EVERYONE skied even Madison! Christian tried wakeboarding and was so close to getting up! It was great fun, hopefully next summer we will be able to go out ALOT more!
Baby Madison goes to school
Tuesday the 25th was Madi's first day of school! She was so excited we told her she had to put her baby in her carseat and leave her in the car. No problem, baby stayed in the car! But as Madison walked away holding her teachers hand I realized, my baby is gong to school and I started to cry. She has grown up so quick. After school on Thursday she started to repeat some of the Pledge of Allegiance.
First Day Of All Day School
Last Monday The 24th Christian and Tommy had thier first day of school! For Christian it was his first day of going ALL day. He did great and loved eating lunch at school. The week started out well then on wednesday a little boy in Christians class started having issues and was becoming a handful. Christian turned to him and asked him if he missed his mom and he punched him in the face. Luckily it was not a hard punch. Christians teacher called me and apologized over and over again and assured me that Christian was ok. He was definately ok, I let him walk home and I was anxious to see him, but I didn't want to make a big deal of things. He came home happy as ever he looked good his face was a tiny bit red, but it did not even phase him. I finally asked him if everyone was nice to him and he told me the story. What a tough guy. Of course Tommy is just happy to see his friends every day again. He loves the social aspect of school!
